For my HNC I designed a F1 concept car body for the 2017 season. The design brief was to design a concept car for the 2017 season that was safer and faster than the 2016 car, incorporate increased head protection with minimal impact on the driver’s field of vision, while still allowing a quick escape. The design should have a ground effect aerodynamics system to increase cornering speeds and the body work should have a more aggressive look and confirm with the Formula One Strategy Group’s proposed bodywork changes to improve viewing statistics thus getting maximum value for money for the team sponsors.
